Preparations for Country Fest 2018 are in full swing and visitors are now able to buy their tickets in advance.

Organised by the Westmorland Agricultural Society and celebrating its 10th Anniversary, Country Fest will take place in June on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3.

Christine Knipe, Chief Executive of the Westmorland Agricultural Society, said: "It is great to be planning and organising our 10th Country Fest and the event really has gone from strength to strength entertaining over 17,000 visitors last year."

This year will see the demo arena playing host to the Jason Smyth Adrenaline Tour Motorbike and Quad Stunt Show, and some popular favourites will be returning including the kite festival, the rare breed young shepherds competition and the young farmers tug of war final.

The Food Zone will once again be offering locally produced delicious food to try and buy, plus there will be a huge range of competitive classes for people to take part in such as craft, sewing and baking with a couple of new categories especially for this year.

Animal lovers will be entertained by the sheepdog trials, the dog show, rabbit show and poultry show as well as the terrier racing.

E-Tickets are available to purchase through the website at www.westmorlandshow.co.uk/country-fest/.
