A KENDAL cueist is gearing up to take to the green baize for a fund-raising pool marathon that will see him potting balls for 48 hours.
Phil Insley will be taking on all-comers for £1 a game at Smokies Bar in the town from 2pm on Monday. He plans to continue playing until 2pm on Wednesday February 21.
The event has been set up through the Lakeland Gateway Lodge of the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes (RAOB), based at the Ivy Leaf Club, Kendal, and Mr Insley hopes to raise approximately £1,000.
Previously, the RAOB in Kendal has raised money for a number of charities including Kendal Mountain Rescue Team, South Lakes Cancer Care and Manna House.
