SKELTON Show has been cancelled because of the foot-and-mouth outbreak in Surrey. Organisers took the decision on Monday (Auguust 6) because ofthe ban on the movement of cattle, sheep and pigs.
Always held on the third Saturday in August, Skelton, near Penrith, usually attracts 8,000 showgoers and is well supported by trade stands and the farming community.
