HAWKSHEAD Agricultural Society Show has been cancelled because the recent wet weather has made the show ground too soft to allow vehicles on it.
The show was due to take place on Tuesday August 21. A press statement issued today said the implications of the recent outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease had also added to the problems.
It added that all fees already paid for trade stands will be refunded and details of all applicants will be retained in preparation for next year's show.
