TWO people died in the crash which happened on the M6 motorway earlier this evening, causing several hours of traffic chaos.
They were among seven passengers, including two children, in a car that collided with the central reservation between the Sedbergh and Kirkby Lonsdale junctions at around 5.20pm.
Five people in the car are being treated in hospital for injuries sustained in the crash, which the fire service said involved several vehicles.
