THE ban on livestock movement imposed following last week's outbreak of foot-and-mouth is to be relaxed from midnight tonight (Wednesday).
The Government has announced that farmers outside the surveillance and protection zones in Surrey, where the outbreak began, will be able to take livestock to slaughter and dispose of fallen stock.
Meanwhile, culling has been ordered on a third farm in Surrey on suspicion that the disease may have spread.
