AN ICONIC mobile home with a difference is heading to these shores, thanks to the efforts of a trailblazing company.
The firm, based at Tebay, has secured the distribution rights to sell the distinctive, American-made Airstream Travel Trailer to the UK, Europe and beyond.
Four partners - Michael Hold, Anthony Slocock, David Rowell and Stuart Riles - have formed the independent firm and they are convinced they are on to a winner.
Having only started Airstream Europe Ltd in 2006, they expect to sell 150 vehicles next year, with numbers steadily rising in future years.
The business is looking to recruit two technicians, to work on fitting out the travel trailers, and a further two staff are expected to be taken on next year.
