PREPARATIONS have already begun for this year's Remembrance Day commemorations in Kendal as a large number of people are expected to turn out to mark the 100th anniversary of the Armistice.
This year there will be a combined service and wreath laying at the town's war memorial. Wreaths will also be laid beforehand at Romney Road and K-Village. Members of Kendal Town Council have suggested that the vicar of Kendal Parish Church, the Rev Rob Saner-Haigh wear a microphone and the use of speakers be considered.
