A NEW restaurant is set to open in the Lake District.
Plans to open a new eatery – The Gaddum Restaurant – in Brockhole House – the white Arts and Crafts house overlooking Windermere, have been announced by the Lake District National Park Authority.
Sam Mason, General Manager of Brockhole said: “We have the perfect setting here for a very special restaurant – a unique house, sheltered terraces and beautiful gardens with access to the shore and jetty at Windermere.
"The Gaddum will bring a separate offer to Brockhole’s café which will continue to operate as usual.
"Visitors will enjoy a lively yet relaxed atmosphere, serving afternoon teas, with daytime and twilight dining, or perhaps, an after-work craft beer or glass of wine with friends on the terrace.”
The Gaddum Restaurant will open on Friday, April 27.
