BOWNESS-ON-WINDERMERE'S Linthwaite House has reopened following a year-long refurbishment costing in excess of £10 million.
Linthwaite House’s existing 30 bedrooms have been renovated, uplifting colours were used in the innovative new restaurant Stella, which offers locally sourced and organic produce.
The bar and conservatory has been opened up and extended so that guests can better enjoy the panoramic views of Windermere and the surrounding fells.
Six newly-created Woodland Suites will open in autumn 2018, offering spacious rooms and featuring floor-to-ceiling windows.
The hotel's 14 acres of grounds have been re-worked and a standalone bar that overlooks the croquet lawn and garden chess set has been added.
