APPLEBY is to showcase the best of local food and farming at the town's Taste Appleby Festival 2018.
Town clerk Caroline Dodgeon said the event was returning on Friday, July 27, for a second year.
There will be a variety of stalls in the Public Hall and the Market Square to attract visitors and locals.
Last year a local butcher brought along piglets and a Herdwick sheep.
Meanwhile, the town is staging its yearly carnival on the weekend of July 14 and 15; and everyone is welcome to the garden fete at St Anne's almshouses, also on Sunday, July 15.
