John Tovey
I shall miss John Tovey (Gazette, September 13, 'Tributes paid to great entertainer TV chef').
John’s legacy was also his connection to Lakeland, being a huge force behind the original Miller Howe Cafe within the store at Windermere.
John was a close friend to my employer, Michelle Kershaw and I was fortunate to meet John regularly when he visited the office.
John said I should always drink a glass of red wine every day and proceeded to bring out of his bag the most enormous “bottle” glass I have ever seen!
A true gentleman and a real character who will be missed.
