GRASMERE Gingerbread has reached the national final to represent the North West in the delicious. Magazine Produce Awards
The spicy-sweet cross between a biscuit and a cake was invented in 1854 by Victorian cook Sarah Nelson.
Judges for the North West regional heat included Peter Gott, Joan Ransley, Clarissa Hyman and Carol Wilson.
