Five vehicle crash closes A66
PART of the A66 was closed following a traffic collison involving five vehicles yesterday (Thursday) in which one person was trapped.
The road was closed between between B6412 (Temple Sowerby) and B6542 (Appleby-In-Westmorland).
Cumbria Police and fire engines from Appleby and Penrith attended the scene.

On arrival all persons were released, fire service personnel assisted in making the scene safe. Crews were detained for approximately one hour.
