A volunteer lifeboat was called out yesterday (October,10) to go to the aid of a person reported to have been cut off by the incoming tide at 12:30pm.
HM Coastuguard requested Morecambe's Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) volunteer lifeboat crew to rescue a person who was reported to have been cut off by the incoming tide, in the vicinity of Jenny Brown's Point, near Silverdale.
The inshore lifeboat was launched within 10 minutes of the call and made its way to the area. The crew located an adult male stranded on a rock,surrounded by water.
The casualty was taken on board the inshore lifeboat and was safely transported to shore.
