BIGLAND Hall Equine are riding high after clinching a top award for running the best horse-riding lessons in Cumbria.
The Backbarrow based group have been presented with the GHP Group 2018 Animal Health & Wellness Award, which is given to those who work to support the welfare, care and wellness of animals.
"We’re delighted with this award’ said director of Bigland Hall Equine Zara Myers, a rider who has represented England in Home International tournaments. "We hold the highest level of welfare standards and it’s great to have this recognition."
More than 50 horses are based at Bigland Hall, and in addition to riding lessons, the organisation offers educational programmes and long distance rides on the high fells.
