I WAS recently contacted by my 14 year old daughter's teacher, praising her over a poem she had written as part of their English syllabus.
Dark haunting shadows
Dark haunting shadows
Deep with blood red meadows
Scars, chilling
Spiritual body, thrilling
Deep red blood
Flowing memories filled with good
Gun shots ricochet
Hearts of soldiers crumble away
Jess Fosbury
As an ex-Serviceman who has completed several operational tours, I was deeply moved by the content of the poem
