CUMBRIA POLICE are appealing for information following the vandalisation of an armistice poppy display at Shap.
Shap Parish council created an installation of 36 poppies in wall baskets at the Market Cross to represent the 36 local men who died in the Great War.
The baskets were ripped from the wall and badly damaged.
Police state the incident occurred overnight on December 4 to December 5.
