Would you accept a council tax increase to maintain police services?
That is the question being asked by Cumbria Police and Crime Commissioner Peter McCall who is this week launching a public consultation on the issue.
The survey asks for residents’ views on a proposal to increase the force’s Council Tax Precept for 2019/2020 by £2 per month for a Band D property, which equates to £1.55 per month for a Band B property.
