A NEW RAILCARD aimed at teenagers which will halve all rail fares has been given the go ahead.
The railcard will give 16-17 year olds 50 per cent off all fares from September 2019 including season tickets and peak services.
This will benefit around 1.2 million young people across the country.
The Government has also launched its millennial railcard for 26-30 year olds. The card costs £30 and reduces rail fares by a third.
