Sadness has greeted the news of the passing of Netherfield FC great Tom Brownlee at the age of 83.
The goal hero had two spells with the club, and found the net an incredible 76 times in season 1963/1964 when Netherfield finished Lancashire Combination runners up.
Scottish born, Tom had spells with Walsall, York City and Workington, from whom he signed for Netherfield.
