The scene at Elterwater where the lorry's path has been blocked
A LORRY became stuck and blocked the road in the village of Elterwater, causing delays in several directions.
It is believed the large HGV was unable to get past a parked vehicle and other traffic was then held up in both directions.
The police attended the scene and it is understood the road has now been cleared.
Stagecoach had advised that the 516 bus was unable to access Elterwater due to the incident and passengers wishing to catch the bus had to walk to either of the junctions with the main road.
Traffic has now returned to normal.
