The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for the Rivers Brathay, Rothay and Winster.
It says: "The Windermere lake level at Far Sawrey has fallen 0.1m in the last six hours. We are expecting the level to continue falling throughout the day but the shores and footpaths around Windermere and the rivers downstream could still be flooded.
"Currently, we are expecting this flood alert to remain in place for the next couple of days."
There is also a flood aleert in place for the Upper River Derwent, Stonethwaite Beck and Derwent Water.
And there is a flood wanring in place for Keswick Campsite.
