A BIG test faces Kendal Town tonight as they travel to Runcorn Linnets for a rearranged Evo-Stik West clash.

The game fell victim to to the weather on its original date earlier this month but with the forecast favourable the game is set to go ahead tonight at the second time of asking.

Steve Edmondson's side battled hard at home to Trafford on Saturday but went down to a 2-0 defeat, leaving them still in second from bottom spot.

And with relegation rivals Clitheroe winning at the weekend, The Mintcakes are now six points from safety.

Opponents Runcorn currently lie fourth and could go within a point of leaders Atherton Collieries with victory tonight.

The Linnets will be attempting to get back to winning ways after Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Radcliffe which saw Runcorn winger Paul Shanley sent off.
