Gary Hindmarch, Secretary of IAMI said: “For an association linked with the maritime sector it may seem strange that we hold our annual conference in the Lake District. We have been holding our conference in the Lakes for over 20 years, and as the association has expanded over the years, we selected Lakeside as a facility that could accommodate our needs.

"We have been delighted with the quality of service the Lakeside provides, and as our members travel some distance to attend is testimony to their enjoyment of the venue and the lovely surroundings."
