I JUST can't decide whether I am naive or stupid - I just cannot understand the workings of Parliament.
We, as a country, voted to leave Europe.
I would have thought that the follow up to this would be a cross-party committee formed to discuss the way forward and to come up with a deal.
Then it would be put to the whole of Parliament, our representatives, to discuss and vote upon.
All this before ever a final deal was taken to Brussels.
But no, it was discussed by a select few, from the ruling party and they put forward a deal which even their own party could not agree on.
No wonder it failed to be accepted by Parliament!
What a waste of more than two years.
Will there ever be a deal acceptable to the majority? I despair.
