A 67-year-old man was taken to hospital after he was injured during a paragliding take-off.
Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team was called out shortly before 2pm on Sunday (May 12) to assist the man, who had stumbled on Ladyside Pike ridge during take-off and injured his right ankle.
The team travelled from Hope Beck to the man and stretchered him down the fell in a stretcher to the waiting ambulance.
The man was then taken to Whitehaven's West Cumberland Hospital for further treatment.

A total of 18 team members attended the callout, which was the team's 19th of the year.
The rescue lasted two hours.
North West Ambulance Service crews were also present.
Team Leader for the mountain rescue team Andrew McNeil said: “The paragliding community have raised funds for the team and it’s great to be able to help one of them out following today’s accident.”
