HUNDREDS of people attended Ingleton Food Hall’s first ever food fair at the weekend.
Country Harvest held the four-day event in a marquee in the grounds. It featured a masterclass with MasterChef winner and Cartmel resident Irini Tzortzoglou, a fun bake off with Great British Bake off contestants Howard Middleton and Sandy Docherty; sausage making, a pie tasting event, cookery demonstrations, cocktail making with Andy Howitt from Yorkshire Dales Distillery, a performance by Leyland Brass Band and a Junior Bake Off competition.
“It was a fantastic four days," said Mike Clark, owner of Country Harvest. "It was the first time we had held a food fair and although the weather wasn’t kind to us on the Saturday, we still had hundreds of people visit our marquee over the weekend and there was an amazing atmosphere."
