On June 15, my five-year-old granddaughter received a very nasty head injury at Grange-over-Sands promenade playground. It was an accident and not any fault of the playground.
We would like to thank the lady from Emma's Cafe, who administered first aid with a compress; the family who offered us the use of their pushchair to get Caitlin to our car on the Commodore car park; the man on the 999 call who stayed on the phone until the paramedic arrived; the paramedic; Mandy & Ryan - the ambulance people; and the staff at Furness General Hospital at Barrow who attended to Caitlin.
They were all wonderful and Caitlin has made a good recovery thanks to their administrations.
