There were lots of letters about leaving Europe (or not) in the June 13 edition.
It reminded me of a practical "catch" that used to go the rounds of the primary school playground many years ago when I was about seven.
You would be asked if you were a "P.L.P. ?" Now if you said "No" you were said not to be a "Proper Looking Person" (the shame!) but if you said yes, you were a "Public Leaning Post" with resulting consequences. Either answer to the question went against you.
I eventually realised the thing to do when asked was to request more details - what exactly did it mean and what consequences would follow?A lesson that Maybe we should have remembered before voting in that dubious Referendum?
