A BOWNESS-based company is now supplying a top London hotel with its own brand of crisps.

The Goring Hotel in the Belgravia district is serving seaweed and cider vinegar crisps made by Farraday’s Tasty in its bars.

These are also on offer in its Siren restaurant, newly-opened under the direction of chef Nathan Outlaw.

Farraday’s Tasty is owned by David Farraday, 47, who ran Bowness’ ‘Postilion’ restaurant for 22 years until 2015.

The company, which began with the selling of sweeter-tasting olives, has expanded from humble beginnings and now sells chutney and chilli sauce, among other products.

Its piccalilli and seaweed and cider vinegar crisps were developed for the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai two years ago.

Despite this illustrious client, Mr Farraday descibed his surprise at being asked to supply the Goring.

He said: “I was gobsmacked really - over the moon.

“I went down on Friday for lunch and I highly recommend the restaurant Siren, it was fantastic.”

He added the company was crafting a seaweed style nut for the hotel, and were also looking at making eggs drumkilbo, a lobster and egg-based dish that was reportedly a favourite of the Queen Mother.

In addition, the Goring is set to begin serving Farraday’s Tasty’s piccalilli crisps.
