MOUNTAIN rescuers responded to a father and son who had become lost when wild camping.

Coniston Mountain Resuce Team (CMRT) were called out on Monday at around 10.30pm by Cumbria Police following concerns that a man and his son were lost near Pudding Stone, Coniston.

A spokesperson from CMRT said: “It was not a nice night to be out – heavy rain and wind.We used SARLOC to locate them near the Pudding Stone below Low Water. We drove a Land Rover up to High Brandy Crag and walked them down.”
