A WALKER was airlifted to hospital after injuring their leg on Scafell Pike.
A total of 15 members from Wasdale Mountain Rescue were called out to Broad Crag Col to help at about 2.45pm on Saturday.
One team member, who was already on the fell, went to the scene and assessed the casualty's injury.
A spokesman from Wasdale MRT added: "In view of the location high on Broad Crag, assistance was requested from the Coastguard helicopter from Prestwick.
"They treated the casualty then winched them aboard for the journey to hospital."
