A590 blocked due to police incident
POLICE had to close part of the A590 this morning following a concern for the safety of a woman.
The road was temporarily shut for nearly 30 minutes between the roundabout for the Askam turnoff and the roundabout nearest to Dalton Zoo while police were called to the scene.
Officers said Police were called at around 9am to the report of a concern for safety for an Ulverston woman in her 20s.
She was located and left in the care of medical staff.
All lanes were re-opened at around 9.40am.
