POLICE are appealing for information following the theft of lead from two buildings in Grasmere.
The first incident, which took place at sometime between 10pm on Friday October 26 and 10am on Monday October 29, saw eight 7ft by 3ft sheets of lead taken from the roof of the village hall.
While the second incident saw a quantity of lead stolen from the roof of the Jerwood Centre at the Wordsworth Trust. The theft occurred at sometime between 5.30pm on Tuesday (October 30) and 9.30am the following day.
In both cases the value of the lead is unknown and it is yet to be established if the two incidents are related.
