A TRAVEL writer from South Cumbria has won a prestigious national award for the third time. The British Guild of Travel Writers’ presented Kirstie Pelling from Burton-in-Kendal with the Travel Blogger of the Year award at a gala dinner at London’s Savoy Hotel.
She is the first ever three time winner of the award.
Judges praised the quality of writing on her site The Family Adventure Project as she was awarded a cheque for £600.
"The blog is full of personality, clear originality, superb writing, and a good use of video and imagery," the said.
"A brilliant read that keeps people wanting to come back post after post.”
