THE Black Bull, Sedbergh, has been awarded a coveted Good Food Gastro Pub Award for 2020.
Each year, pubs and inns up and down the country are assessed against a stringent set of criteria including food quality, customer service, and food hygiene.
James Ratcliffe, co-owner of The Black Bull, said: "We are so thrilled to have won this award, it recognises all of the hard work we as a team put into delivering consistent first-class service for our diners each and every day.
"We are lucky to have a hugely dedicated team and awards like this are a deserved pat on the back, helping to recognising the consistent levels of service we deliver and the quality of the food and drink we serve our guests every day."
The award judges commented: "The Black Bull’s dining room is very much focused on serving an array of delicious dishes crafted from the freshest possible produce available from the surrounding landscape, whilst demonstrating exceptional levels of food quality, service and value when compared to industry benchmarks in their category."
