THE unique beauty of the Furness rail line is set to enthral over one million television viewers in Japan and the Far East.

The line, which travels from Carlisle to Carnforth via the west and south coast of Cumbria, will be featured on Euro Train - a programme produced for a satellite channel with more than 20 million subscribers.

The series, which could be aired in Japan before the end of the year, showcases interesting and scenic train journeys for Japanese holidaymakers.
