A printer has taken on a new staff member as it looks to grow in 2020.

Cerberus Printing, in Kirkby Stephen, has appointed Dawn Rawlins as a new print room coordinator.

Cerberus received match funding from the Cumbria Growth Hub in 2018 to develop its website and marketing strategy. It says this has led to a steady increase in sales over the past year enabling it to make the new appointment.

Business manager Tom Burnham said: “The primary reason for creating the role was to increase efficiency in our production processes and allow us to turnaround work more quickly.

"This will bring us in line with the turnaround times offered by larger online printers.

"Dawn’s arrival comes at a good time as we look set to have our busiest pre-Christmas period to date.”

The business has also diversified from traditional print to offer additional services such Giclee printing for the fine art market.

Dawn brings customer service experience from her previous job at a local pub and restaurant.

She also brings creativity from supporting the running of her family’s business, the Flower Basket florist in Appleby.

Some of Cerberus Printing’s recent projects include design and print for The Black Bull coaching inn in Sedbergh and The Black Swan Hotel in Ravenstonedale, as well as bespoke wedding stationery design and print jobs for individual customers.
