A CARE home in Dalton has achieved a glowing report from inspectors from the Care Quality Commission.

Staveley House was hailed as ‘good’ in all areas following a report produced from an inspection carried out by the CQC in October.

The report echoed the previous inspection in labelling the care home as good in all departments, including in being safe, responsive, caring and well-led.

The report said ‘staff treated people with kindness and respect’.

It added: “The staff were trained and skilled to provide people’s care.

“People enjoyed the meals and drinks provided.

“The staff supported people to access appropriate healthcare services to maintain good health.

“The staff asked for people’s consent and respected the decisions people made.

“People’s rights were protected.”

Staveley House, which is part of the Abbeyfield Furness Extra Care Society Limited group, can accommodate up to forty residents.
