CHRIS and Judy Leeming were the guest speakers at the first Austwick WI meeting of the year.

Their truly inspirational talk, accompanied by slides, described their challenge to walk 1,000 miles in a year.

The challenge, however, became an obsession and they put on their boots every day, averaging more than 200 miles a month and accomplishing 2,000 miles before the end of the year. An incredible achievement.

The next meeting on February 13 at 7.30pm in the Parish Hall will be ‘An Antiques Road Show’ by Michael Roberts.
