ON NEW Years Day about 70 walkers enjoyed walking up to the shooting lodge from Keasden Head Farm.
Generous hospitality and a very warm welcome were provided by Marco Compagnoni, Rob Garnett and Sheila Mason and family. The walkers took up a collection and donated around £200 for Keasden Church funds.
'THE Peas' are a duo who are masters of taking your guilty pop pleasures from the 80s and 90s and giving them a classic reworking. From Rick Astley to the Spice Girls, they have a set list that could make some shudder. However, with a change of chords and a 'bluegrassy', rock and roll acoustic disco beat, the songs sound brand new.
Look them up on www.facebook.com/thepeas. They will be performing at Clapham Village Hall on Friday, March 6 from 7.30pm. Tickets are £9 and will be available from the village store after February 6 or from Sue Mann on 51792.
