I HAVE been told grazed grassland can absorb four to six tons of CO2 per hectare a year; 2019 was a good grass-growing year and I have 30 hectares. At the rate of six tons, this makes 180 tons.

With this mild winter, grass is still growing; grass will keep growing above 4°C. This is what I have been told, and if it is not true I will not be offended.

On another subject, veganism: two million years ago when the Ice Age hit, man could not find enough veg to eat and that is when man started to eat meat to survive. So, stop building on greenfield sites or we will all go hungry.
