A GROUP of wild campers had to be rescued from a Lake District fell yesterday after a tent blew over in bad weather.
The party of four had set up camp close to the summit of Hart Crag near Grasmere but were 'overwhelmed' by adverse conditions.
At around 10pm Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team (PMRT) was called out after the group became 'disorientated' when descending the fell.
A PMRT spokesman said they had become "cold and wet through."
Six PMRT team members went out and escorted them to safety.
At around 3.30am a vicar kindly offered them refuge in the Patterdale vicarage for the night.
