A MAN has been charged following a fire at a hostel in Kendal.
The blaze occurred on March 27 at around 1.30pm on Town View.
A police spokesman said 25-year-old Patrick Bernas, of Winder Lane, Flookburgh, was charged "with arson with intent to endanger life and arson with recklessness as to whether life was endangered."
He appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court, Barrow-in-Furness, today and has been remanded to appear at Preston Crown Court on April 27.
