A CHARITY which helps disabled adults in Cumbria has issued a plea for more staff.

Leonard Cheshire operates residential care services across the UK, such as Holehird in Windermere, and houses around 2,700 disabled adults with different levels of need.

Social care providers are helping to ease pressure on the NHS.

Leonard Cheshire is supporting and caring for people who could be more vulnerable to the virus.

The charity has a number of vacancies to fill in order to provide the service to vulnerable adults.

Bosses are hoping those affected by job cuts in the hospitality and travel industries will be able to step up.

Most of the vacancies require no previous experience. Visit leonardcheshire.org/urgentvacancies for more information.
