A YOUNG farmer has raised £900 for organisations close to her heart after she was involved in an accident.

Samantha Bell had a car accident last year and was cared for by The Royal Preston Hospital Intensive Care Unit, the charity Headway and Kentdale First Aid.

Samantha, who works as a legal secretary and office administrator for Cumbrian solicitors, Cartmell Shepherd, joined forces with Tropic Beauty Ambassador, Nicola Stevenson, to put together a bag of beauty products to sell to raise money for the organisations.

The money has been split equally between the three organisations.

Angie Clare from Kentdale First Aid said: "We have decided to use Sam's gift to purchase a Laerdal Suction Unit.

"This is a piece of equipment which is used to clear a patient's airway in an emergency situation to allow ventilation to take place. The purchase of this equipment will allow Sam's donation to benefit others in the future.

"Myself and fellow Kentdale paramedics, Andrew Dickinson and Marilyn Blunt hope that we can meet up with Sam in the future to say a personal thank you for her very kind donation."
