TENS of thousands of pounds have been saved by Cumbria Constabulary thanks to free fuel being provided by the company BP during the coronavirus lockdown.
A constabulary spokeswoman said BP's offer saved Cumbria's force £34,504 on fuel between March 21 and the end of April.
Cumbria’s Police and Crime Commissioner Peter McCall said the offer had 'really supported' the county's police officers.
