A hungry driver saw their car seized as the queued for their first McDonald's in three months.
The driver joined a lengthy drive-thru queue on Friday (5/6) eager to grab a takeaway from the newly re-opened fast food restaurant.
The silver Mercedes was spotted by police as having no car insurance and the vehicle was seized.
The Cirencester Neighbourhood Policing Team posted on Twitter: "Make sure you have insurance. Summons in the post. #OneBigMacAndInsurancePlease."
Locals took to social media to poke fun at the incident.
Rita Boot wrote on Facebook: "Burger with a side order of police record."
Facebook user Chris Trew quipped: "Went out for a Big Mac and ended up with a big Bill. 😂😂"
Another joked: "Drove out for a Big Mac meal. Caught the bus home."
