LAST week’s picture - above - showed the date 1724 on top of a spout on Prince Charlie’s House in Stricklandgate.
This spout contains 15 gold dragons.
The house was built in 1690 and it is claimed that in 1745 'Bonnie Prince Charlie' stayed here on his way to and from London.
The Duke of Cumberland, who wished to catch the prince, stayed in the same room the next night.
